Gifted from: LG. This cardstock colour print of a Bulgarian 1 stotinka squirrel stamp is part of the Zoo Stamps of the World collection by Anglo American Chewing Gum Ltd. based in Halifax England. The squirrel is stamp No. 43. The text on the front of the stamp translates to "People's Republic of Bulgaria" and "squirrel." The back of the card reads "In Britain there are two varieties of squirrel, the native red and the grey, introduced from America during the latter part of the last century. The red squirrel is a beautiful creature with a lithe body and a fine bushy tail. Since its introduction in this country, the grey squirrel has increased to such extent that it is now regarded as a pest." The stamp depicts a red squirrel climbing a tree.
