Description
Gifted from: LG. This handmade art piece created by LG during the Covid 19 pandemic lockdowns features a plethora of design elements inspired by the isolating circumstances. The base of the piece is a Flying Squirrel Trampoline Park black baseball cap embroidered with the park's logo. The hat was made in Bangladesh by Yupoong using the Classic base model. The hat has been modified with holes through the sides to thread though a hoodie drawstring that hangs down from the sides. There is a cardboard hand cutout covered by a blue latex glove affixed to the top of the hat with hot glue as a reference to CY's Becoming Plastic. There is a green plastic gemstone glued into the palm of the glove and a small label reading "remove this cover" affixed at the wrist. On the front of the hat, above the embroidered pink squirrel, there is a caution orange colour label with "priority" written in black. There is a Gordon & McPhail emblem Glued just above the brim. On the right side of the brim is a toilet paper cardboard tube with a Shutterstock cartoon squirrel looking bashful printed and glued onto the tube. A small brown feather pokes out of the top of the tube. On the left there is a blotch of hot glue where another attachment used to be, but since it has been lost and the piece has not gone through restorative work.
